I sent a letter to my child with one page of writing and two pages of pictures. When I click to look at my letter online, I only see the page of writing and one page of pictures. Do I need to send the other pictures again?

Hi McKenzie! I would be happy to look into this for you! Would you kindly provide your sponsor number, or your child's ID number? Regrettably, I couldn't find an account associated with the email address you provided.

Thanks so much for that information! Is this the letter with the photos of the puppies attached? If so, it does look like only one page of the photos successfully scanned in, and you would need to send that page again. :( I'm so sorry for this inconvenience!

We have a similar issue. We sent two postcards to Keyla (HA066905109) with her 2017 photo on one and her 2018 photo on the other, but the 2018 photo postcard does not appear to have been scanned. Also in July, we sent an online letter with photo pages of crepe myrtles, but that letter doesn't appear to have any photo page. We can't send another photo postcard unless we get another from Compassion, but we do have the crepe myrtle photos but don't know how to attach them to a letter already in transition. Please look into this for us and let us know what we can do.

You may notice that we sent Sterson and Joan photo postcards from both years, but we only sent Harouna one postcard because we never received a postcard with his latest photo (blue outfit). We hope to get that one soon! But we did have Keyla's most recent one (white dress) and we sent both postcards to her. We mailed all the children's postcards to Compassion together in one envelope.

Thank you for your help!--Kathleen Young

Hi Kathleen! We really appreciate the concern you have for your sponsor children and our letter writing process. In reviewing your account, I was able to locate both the 2017 and 2018 postcards you mentioned for Keyla. Both of these postcards have been scanned and are currently in our translation process. I was also able to find the other letter for Keyla you mentioned. When I accessed this, the letter did bring up six photos of crepe myrtles.

I believe part of the reason you may not be able to access these photos online is due to there being multiple pages to each of these letters. To toggle between the pages, please select which page you are wanting to view by using the feature provided at the top of the letters. For both letters, the photos you were inquiring are on the second page of the letters. However, if you have already tried to access both pages of each letter online and are still unable to see the photos, it is not uncommon for some features to be hidden while letters are in our translation process.

I never realized some features were hidden when letters are in transit.  Now, I know. Thank you, Anna, for researching this and confirming that all is well.

In these past 3 years I've never felt the need to review a letter in transit, but this was the first time we'd sent physical postcards, and I was happily surprised to see them in our conversations, along with our other letters.  Then, when it appeared that Keyla was missing one, I became concerned.  Thanks to all.  Mystery solved.

I'm glad to learn more about the process.

If the letter with the crepe myrtles photos is still in translation, then that is probably why the photos are not showing . If you "Duplicate for another child" the letter in translation the photos will show up.

Yes, thank you, Sarah. You are correct about that letter. I tried the "Duplicate" and saw the photos. :)  In the past 3 years I've never felt the need to review a letter in transit, but because this was the first time we'd sent physical postcards and Keyla appeared to be missing one, it caused me to peek at the others, too. Well, mystery solved. You're a great detective, Sarah, and I always appreciate you, Leah, for your kindness and help as well.
