I would like to suggest that sponsors would be able to view copies of the letters they sent while they are still in translation.

This would help tremendously with questions about whether or not letters were received, and why a letter is showing up in the account that a sponsor does not remember sending. I have sent several inquiries about such situations, but have been told by the people who answer my emails that there is no way for them to see the letters or find the answers to my questions. I have been dealing with some missing letters, and also a letter I am sure I did not send (don't know if it is a double of another letter I sent?). While the new system shows possibilities of being great, it is not there yet.

I would like to see this changed, also. I write monthly and as I wrote my letters in June, some of my May letters were still showing in translation so I was unable to look back at them and see what pictures I included or what specifically I wrote to each child. It would be very convenient to be able to see those letters, if possible.

I get the email with the text of what I wrote but I'm not in the habit of saving them because I could always just look back at them online. I've started saving them now but with 17 kids, it's hard to filter through all the emails to find the one I'm looking for. Plus they don't show me the pictures or the stationary I used.

It's not a deal breaker and I don't say all of this in a complaining spirit, just a wish list item! Hopefully, soon enough the letters won't have to hang out in translation so long and it won't be an issue!

Kristen, I am sure it is not easy keeping track of letters for all of your children! The issues with the new system will get fixed soon, and then letters will go through the translation process quickly! Thank you so much for expressing your thoughts! We appreciate it!

Good morning, Beth! I am so sorry to hear about your frustrations over the new letter writing system. Since letters are taking a little longer to go through translation right now, I completely understand your suggestion and desire to be able to view your letters that are "In Translation". Once we have corrected the issues we are currently experiencing with the translation process, letters will begin to go through translation very quickly, which will help you to be able to view your letters much quicker, as well.

If you would like, I would be happy to take a look on my end at the letters that you are missing and the letter that might be a duplicate. Please send me the child numbers and the dates the letters were either mailed or submitted online, and I will see if I can help you. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you, Amy. Sarah explained to me in another post that the letters are taking a while to get scanned into the system, and that they are not going into the system in order. This may explain why the dates do not look right in the list of letters that are in translation. Thank you for your offer to help, but after learning that the letters are behind and not in order, I think I will wait and hope they all get there sooner or later. I hope the translation process speeds up quickly, so communication between sponsors and children can get back into a normal pattern. Thanks again for your offer to help.
