My wife and I have been sponsoring for over twenty years with great success. We currently have four children that we sponsor monthly. I have held Compassion Sunday events and many more children have been sponsored because of it. We have encouraged many people, including our own kids, to sponsor. We have always had great communication with all of out sponsored children, which is a great way to get others interested. All four of our own kids sponsor at least one Compassion child. Unfortunately our daughter has had limited contact with her sponsored girl from Togo ever since she started several years ago. The letters she receives are always the same, no new information is ever shared. There is no interpersonal communication. She has been sponsoring the same girl for several years and the girl is now of the age that she should be able to write or at least draw pictures or something! Still nothing changes with the letters. I have been contacted to hold a Compassion Sunday event again this year. I WILL NOT BE PARTICIPATING. I can not stand up in front of the congregation and say great things about the communication we have had when it isn't true for everyone. My daughter has tried four different times in three different formats to get your attention and HAS RECEIVED NO RESPONSE FROM ANY ONE AT COMPASSION. Please address this issue!
