Praise for letter system

I've had some trouble in the past with letters not being translated, or with slowdown, but today I was blown away. I got a letter from my boy in Guatemala in under 2 weeks. How awesome it that! The only thing that could make this better was if I knew if my letters are also going at this speed to him.

Happy on so many levels right now, not the least of which is that my response will be time relevant when I tell him to enjoy his school break that he just told me about. I've had my doubts, and there have been rough spots, but the new letter system seems like it's starting to gel and do what it's designed for! Great job Compassion!

Hi Andrea! I am so happy to see that you just received a letter from your Guatemala boy this quickly! I know it's been rough with your letters over a pretty long time period and hope to see more of your letters come through this quickly for you :). Thank you so much for adding such a happy celebration to our day!

Is your boy in GU-0494? I just got a letter today from my 9 year old there that was written Nov 29!  He did not say there was a break, but did say he will be "starting 4th grade" -- so I wonder if school years there are the same as calendar years instead of Sept-May/June like here.

My boy is in GU-0435 so I guess all the letters are just going fast! I'm not sure about Guatemala but a lot of other countries do have calendar school years.
