I recently saw a little girl on the Compassion website that would love to sponsor. However, I just took on 2 new sponsorships within the past few months and I am in the middle of an international move and job change. Nonetheless, I feel led to be her sponsor. Is there any way to put her on hold for a while until I am settled into my new life? Her name is Debora. Her ID is GH092200468.

Hi Ashley! I am so glad to hear that God is calling you to sponsor this sweet young lady! I see that she is still available for sponsorship at this time. I am able to place her on hold for you, but we can only place a child on hold for seven weeks. Do you think this would allow you enough time to get settled? If you think this would be helpful and would like us to do so, please also reply with your sponsor number so that I may locate your account. Thank you so much!

Ashley, Debora is now on your account. This means that she will not show up among the available children on the website. Are you looking on your My Account?

Yeah I've looked on My Account and she hasn't shown up which was why I asked.

Hey Ashley! I am so sorry for the confusion. Susan and I think we got confused when looking into your account and I apologize for giving you incorrect information. I don't see Debora on your account yet. When I tried placing a hold on her for you this morning, I wasn't able to do so. Looking at the website, it looks like someone actually may have picked her sponsorship up between the time you gave us your sponsor number and we were able to respond today. You didn't officially sponsor her online Monday or yesterday did you? I did go ahead and place a reservation on her while I figure out what happened, which gives you "next in line" status to sponsor her just in case she was indeed sponsored by someone else online and the processing hasn't come through our full system yet.

No I didn't sponsor her online. I just checked and saw that she was no longer there. Thanks for your assistance. Hopefully I am still able to sponsor her.

Hi Ashley! Thank you for confirming for us. I have sent this issue to our technical team so that we can see if this is a system error and can be fixed, or if she is not available for sponsorship anymore. Please know that I am praying she is still available for you, and as soon as we hear back, we will be in touch! Thank you so much for your patience!
