I signed on to compassion.com/change to sign up for one of the events. But I can't find anywhere on the website where it explains EXACTLY what it is. When I click on an event, 3 days and all these hours come up. But then on another part of the website, it says you can do it in an hour. So does that mean to stop by the church anytime within all those hours listed and you'll be there for only an hour doing the experience? I really need clarification. ALSO, I have three children ages 6, 10, and 11. Can they do it too?

Hello Kmasker31, I am not a Compassion employee but I have been to the "Compassion experience" before..... And let me tell you, you are in for a treat!! My husband and I had an amazing time when we went! Your children will love to come with you also! :-) Even a child as young as 2-3 year old could have fun on this.
If you would like to get through the exhibit fast, I suggest getting there when they open.... Otherwise you could be waiting in long lines. Once you are in the exhibit, you could go through it as fast or as slow as you would like. I think it took us about 15 - 20 minutes to walk through each exhibit. We chose to see all 3 exhibits, so with waiting in lines and then looking at the "waiting children packets" ... We were there for close to 2 hours. The highlight of the trip for me was getting to see the exact kind of little Bible that Compassion gave my sponsor child!! I was flipping through the pages of this little children's Bible, and when I got to the "garden of Eden" page, it had the SAME picture that my sponsor child drew for me on her very first letter!!

I hope you and your family have a grate time also!!
Blessings,
Jennifer

I would highly encourage you to take your children. Like Jennifer said, it takes about 20 minutes to go through each exhibit and there are three different ones to choose from. I took my (then) 4 & 9 year olds and it really opened their eyes to how our Compassion kids live. My kids loved the story telling and it opened up a lot of discussion afterward.

Hi Kmasker31! I am excited that you're family wants to join us at the Compassion mobile experience coming to your area! I appreciate Kristen and Jennifer so much as they are exactly right with the information they gave to you and have both been through it so they are a great source of information :).

To elaborate just a bit more, Change the Story is a mobile, immersive experience that tells the real-life stories of three Compassion children, providing insight into the living conditions and challenges that Compassion children face every day as well as the hope and impact from sponsorship. The tour is self-paced and includes an audio guide although as mentioned, takes approximately 20-25 minutes to complete. Visitors may go online to compassion.com/change to view the tour schedule and make a reservation to visit the mobile experience, although a reservation is not required to attend. Please note though, if you reserve a spot you will be moved to the front of the line at your reservation time. At the end of the tour, visitors will have the opportunity to speak with a Compassion Advocate about sponsoring a child if they feel led to do so.

I hope that your family has a wonderful time!
