I had a question about letter statuses. A letter from February says processed and sent to field office..but the letter I sent today to Abel says translation complete already and the bar is far on it..just wondering why it appears the letter today I wrote has already gotten to him . Have all my other letters gone to him yet? Just didn't know if these are all being delivered in order . Thanks !!

Hi Lisa! I know this is a bit confusing! To be completely honest, we are having some issues with our letter writing system at this time. You should actually not be seeing a status that says, "Processed and Sent to Field Office." This status is used in our internal system but does not means much to our sponsors. I think this may be an issue or glitch in our system, and I would like to get this fixed for you. Would you mind sending us a screenshot of this so that we can send this into our technical team to be looked at? Our email is socialmedia@compassion.com. Thank you so much for doing so! Furthermore, at this time, we are seeing some issues with the wrong status being displayed, or that it is saying translation complete but it has not been delivered yet. Because of the issues that we are having at this time, I would honestly ignore them for the time being. We are seeing a lot of letters be processed very quickly because someone at the center is printing the letters right away and translating them. Where as, in other areas they are not able to do this so the process is taking much longer.

With all that said, I want to ensure you that Compassion is working very hard to get this fixed. We hold your relationship with your child in very high regard, and we know that your letters truly build that relationship. Because we know the value of these letters, we are doing our very best to make this a top priority and get this fixed as soon as possible. Until then, even though your letters may show a weird status, or may be delivered out of order, please continue to write. Your letters have the ability to change this child's life for eternity!

I have a letter from my correspondent girl in Nicaragua, Geraldine, still "in process on 1/25/17". I have received two letters from her dated February and March. Can anything be done about this letter?

Hi Linda, I am so sorry but in this case, I see this letter was flagged for quality assurance. When letters are selected to be reviewed in a case like this, there is nothing we can do to speed that process up. I do apologize and we thank you for your patience!
