Question about living situation of correspondent child

I received a new correspondent child today and his photo on the app is circled in red where all my other children are circled in blue? Does this have any significance I should know about before writing. Also it says cared for by OLANSI where all my other children have a name of who cares for them or it says Mother. Do you know if this is just a name that got entered in all caps or a children’s organization of some kind and if so, what kind. I just don’t want my first letter to be insensitive. I was preparing to write when I noticed the all caps name and then the red. Maybe the red is cause I’ve not written yet and I just didn’t notice on my other kids.

Children's names are circled in red when you have not written to them in a certain amount of time (60 days? Not sure) it is FANTASTIC that all of your other kids are in blue! It means you write regularly!

Thank you.so glad I can turn this little fellows circle blue. It breaks my heart to imagine being the one never getting a letter (yes, I was often the one chosen last for kickball at recess. What a little thing it seems as an adult but God is so gracious to use the memory of that feeling to help alleviate another child’s sadness in some small way).

Hi Ann! Sarah's answer is indeed correct :). The red circle indicates that a child hasn't received a letter in some time, and since Edrin is a new kiddo, he hasn't received a letter yet. Thank you so much for accepting sweet Edrin into your Compassion family, and I'm sure that he is going to be so excited to begin receiving your letters! Christina, I have not received an email regarding Edrin yet. We’re you able to find out about his living situation. I had written a first letter but it appears to have disappeared in my app so I will write again and send tomorrow as I don’t want him to have to wait any longer than necessary. If there is something you could share via email I appreciate it.
