Hello, I initially sought to sponsor a little girl from Rwanda (Sophie) but then I received mail from compassion with information and payment receipt for a different child (Grace).

I was told compassion had a confusion and that Sophie had just been sponsored by someone else. So, I am not sponsoring Grace. I however received a letter from Sophie but I am unsure if this too is a confusion? My name is on the top bar code area but since the child is 7 she uses one of the pre-designed letters for younger children in which I cannot tell who she is addressing (her real sponsor or me). The child asks if I am a father (I am a woman so this makes me think the letter is not meant for me).

Please advise!!

Thank you

Whoa, Genesis. That is super confusing. I'm so sorry for the confusion! I am doing some further research into what is going on here and I appreciate your patience as I work this out.

Hello and thank you. There is a small but significant typo on my initial post *I am* sponsoring Grace (I’ve been sponsoring her for about 3 months now).

Thank you so much for this information, Genesis. I sent this to Susan so that she would have this while doing her research. :)

Genesis, this letter was actually sent to you in error because you were still sponsoring Sophie in some areas of our system but not in others. However, as I am looking into this further, Sophie is no longer sponsored by this other person. Would you like to sponsor her at this time?
