When I started sponsoring Ekbadin in Thailand, I knew from his photo and the little bit of information provided that he is crippled, and also possibly mentally disabled.  I called in at the time of sponsorship to see if I could find out more, but there wasn't any other information at that time.
I just received my second letter from him, and I am becoming more concerned.  This second letter mentions a couple of health issues he is having, or had recently.  I am really worried for him, and am wondering if there is anyway to find out more specific details about his handicaps, and whether he is getting treatment for them.

Jamie, I appreciate your care for Ekbadin and certainly understand your concerns for him. Our records do indicate that your boy has had health problems since he was born and the last information we received, he was not seeing a doctor. He may be receiving assistance with his speech and therapy for his walking, however. I am so sorry that his recent letter has made you worry and I would like to look further into this situation for you. So that our staff in Thailand can better assist us in getting further details about any help Ekbadin might need, please send us a copy of the recent letter you received from Ekbadin. You can send it with a subject line of: 'Attention Emily' to socialmedia@compassion.com. Once we receive a copy of your letter, I will contact our country office and request that they look into your boys situation.
