I have a few questions about my sponsor children.

On my account it shows that one of my children's (Zeleke ET013400157) completion date is planned for 7/1/2018. Is that date correct from when my sponsor child will be out of the program? How do you decide when it is time for a child to graduate from the program?

I am also wondering about my sponsor child (Abera ET053800214), it shows that his planned completion date is 4/1/2019. In his last letter he wrote that he will be graduating from his university in 39 days. Since he will be done with school soon will he graduate from the Sponsorship program sooner than planned?

One of my sponsor children (Kibwota UG015700369) is financially shared with my sister. Is it possible to put her on both of our accounts? Are you able to charge my sister $19 and me $19 and also give us both the capability to correspond with her on our own separate accounts? My sister's sponsorship number is 07274910 (Laurie Inwards). My sponsorship number is 07103359 (Julie Inwards).

When I was on here I saw that other people had asked for additional information about their sponsor child (Deceased parent information, if they had former sponsors, etc.) and were sent an e-mail. I would love to know anything about any of my sponsor children. I have one child (Taga TG082300218) whose parents are both deceased. If possible I would like to know what happened.

I would like to know any information about my sponsor children:

Hello Julie! Zeleke's completion date is listed as 7/1/2018 as you mentioned. This is an estimated date, meaning that it can change. Zeleke will be just shy of turning 21 when that date rolls around. Because most of our countries  have an age limit of 22 years old, it is possible that she could choose to stay in the program for another year if needed. Since that date is also an estimated date, it does not mean that she will technically leave the program on that day specifically. We do allow children time to finish up any vocational training programing etc if they are still finishing it up when their graduation date comes up. Most likely, you will see information coming from us about her graduation not too long after that date though. What an exciting time!

It is possible that Abera will graduate early if he is not too far away from graduating university. In order to remain in the program, children do have to either be attending school or doing some kind of vocational training. He may be working on a vocational skill now as well, or will start that once he graduates from the program. He could also choose to leave the program early as it really is his decision. I would honestly take this opportunity to ask him what he plans to do next after graduating from university. That is quite an accomplishment!

Regrettably, we cannot place Kibwota on both of your accounts with a way for both of you to correspond with her. We can leave her sponsorship on your account as it is right now and you are welcome to send letters from both of you using that sponsor number. We can also create a new account with both of your names listed as the financial sponsors. You'd need to create a new login in order to write her letters online, but that may help you keep her sponsorship separate from all the other ones you sponsor. You are welcome to manually make donations for $19 between you and your sister to cover her sponsorship, but we can't split the sponsorship amount between two different accounts. Let me know what you want  to do with this one. I know it can be complicated to share a sponsorship! I have done this before personally and the separate account worked really well for us. In the end, it is completely up to you on which way would be better in your specific case :).

What kind of information are you looking for on your children? Most of the information we are able to share about your kids is available through the welcome booklets you receive at the beginning of your sponsorship as well as in your online account. With these kids of requests, we are able to give information on five children at a time because it can be very time consuming to find specific information a sponsor is looking for.
