I accidentally referred to my child by the wrong name in one of my letters. I feel terrible about this. I have several children on my account and while most letters I write are unique to that child, sometimes I send the same letter to multiple children and simply change the details when I am strapped for time and I just want to make sure they receive a letter. Will the people who translate the letter fix this? I feel so awful. I do not want my child to think I do not know who he is or to think I do not care for him because I certainly do! The child may be too young to read for himself ,but this child lives in a country where we communicate in English so I am afraid he will discover this somehow anyway. Is this something I should apologize to him for, or is it best just to make sure it never happens again and trust that it will be okay? (I don't want to draw attention to it if he might not discover it on his own).

Hey Rebekah! I've definitely done this once before too when I've been writing letters to a large number of my kids in one day. It happens! I cannot guarantee that it will be fixed, but the translators do often catch these kinds of mistakes before they reach the children. No need to apologize to your boy; it will truly be ok. He knows you love him and the name mistake will not change that!

Thank you for sharing that! That makes me feel much better! It is such an easy slip up to make in a hurry when the main reason to send duplicate letters in the first place is being busy! I am glad I am not alone in this. This is a wonderful community of sponsors and support team members!

Just explain it to your child what happened or tell him or her if you had to much on your mind but tell them the truth don't sugar coat it
