After sending family gifts to my three sponsored children, I received letters and a photo from two of the families telling me what they bought, but I did not receive one from Luzia.

Hi Karen! Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention! I have sent an inquiry to our field office in Brazil about this gift to make sure that Luzia received it and see what she was able to purchase with this gift. I will let you know as soon as we hear back in approximately forty-five days.

Karen, I just received a response from our field office in Brazil. They have informed me that a thank you letter from Luzia was sent to you on March 11. Did you receive this letter?

No, Susan, I don't believe we received that letter.  The last one I received was dated Feb. 5.

According to my records, the letter that we sent from our USA office on March 11 was received at the country office in Brazil on February 11. It was then translated and sent to the USA office before being sent to you. Because of this, it is very likely that this is the same letter. I'm sorry to have to ask this, but did she mention a thank you for the gift in that letter? If not, I'll ask our staff in Brazil to have Luzia write another letter for you.

No, this letter did not mention the gift.  Please know that I am not requesting a thank you letter; my initial request was more of a concern that Luzia had not received the gift since I received photographic evidence letters detailing purchases made from the other two children but not her.

Yes, the staff at Luzia's center confirmed that she received the gift. However, we usually like to provide a thank you letter as "proof" to each sponsor.
