One of my children sent me a letter asking me about a picture I had sent with a letter last September. I sponsor several children so I wasn't sure which picture she was referring to. I went to view the letter on the website where it has sent letters listed, and the letter isn't there. Are they only saved for a certain amount of time? If that is the case, I think they should be saved for one year. With the length of time between letters this would make sense. I counted on that tool to keep track of my letters for me.

The three most recent letters you write online will be accessible through your account. We also send a copy of the letter to you via email. You might try checking your email box for the letter you are looking for.

I only receive e-mail copies of some of my letters. I had started saving them that way, but when I didn't get e-mail confirmations (even though they were marked as sent on the CI website) for some of my letters, I stopped counting on that as a way to save.

You can also print a "draft" before sending to keep a paper copy. I do this and just set my printer to low quality so as not to waste ink. I keep my letters in a binder organized by child in chronological order. This is also helpful so I don't drive my children insane by asking them the same questions over and over again.
