Hi. Just wondering. The child I am sponsoring is not currently in school. Does the funding I currently give allow for schooling? Or is that extra?

Hi Casey! Children in Africa do start school a little later than we do here in the USA usually. At the time your child's information was last updated in 2017, he wasn't attending school because he wasn't quite old enough to yet. If he is still not able to go due to his age, Compassion instead provides tutoring and programing at the center to help the children who are not yet able to go to school begin their learning :). The funds you provide through your $38 monthly contribution do help Compassion provide these programs to the children and when he is ready to go to school, the funds will be used to help cover the costs of his schooling.
