Hello. I have been sponsoring my child for several years with y'all (and an additional girl in Haiti, but through Baptist Haiti Mission (Where I stayed the majority of the time). I have not recently sent Ramadhani a letter. I am wanting to and send a picture of my and my dogs. I realize it is not of the child's best interest to post a picture with certain background things such as a house, car, etc. I unfortunately have been ill with a chronic condition. He was born in 06 so he's about 10. Would it be appropriate to tell him I am sick? And if so, how detailed should I be? I personally do not mind them to know it. I am asking for the his best interest. Along those lines, a lot of my pictures that I would want to send to him are either in a hospital or some medical thing is in the picture. Like, my service dog Dove is a golden retriever, and she was in my hospital room and yawned when we took the picture and looks like she's laughing. I didn't find an answer on the main Compassion site/FAQ nor on here. I am 19. I feel so guilty for not writing him. My New Year's Resolution is to send at least one letter per month, even if it's a short one, I want him to know that I care about him and more importantly that God loves him.
