I missed the birthday of my sponsored child but would like to set up a yearly birthday gift for her as well as a Christmas gift each year for her family. How do I do that?

Hi Carol! I don't believe there is a way for us to set up reoccurring gifts in our online accounts, but the Compassion staff can do that for you! The ladies that manage this forum will be back in the office on Monday and be able to assist you then. How much would you like each of the gifts to be for? You can post that here, or if you would rather communicate that privately you can email and they will be able to set that up for you. Thank you so much for your generosity and have a great rest of your weekend! :)

Hi Carol! As Adam mentioned, we would be happy to setup an annual automatic birthday gift for you. We would just need to know the amount that you would like to give. The recommended amount is $20, but you can give anywhere between $10 and $100. Since you have an automatic withdrawal for your monthly support, the birthday gift will just come out with your monthly support one month a year. I recommend setting the gift to come out in October since Sitra's birthday is in January and it typically takes about two to three months for gifts to be sent.

I know I set up the yearly Christmas gift but cant remember if I set up the birthday gift?  I'm sorry, I've been in the hospital a couple of times and was not sure,  I just don't want to miss her birthday again.  Also, I see you are wanting sponsors for older children, I know Sitra has siblings, what are their ages and do they have sponsors?  Sorry so many questions!.  Thanks - Carol

Hi Carol! I am so sorry to hear you have been in the hospital lately and am praying that you are doing much better now. I don't see that we have the Christmas gift or birthday gift set up to pull out automatically every year. We don't actually know the ages of Sitra's sponsors because she is the only child in her family who is in the program. Though the staff at her project would know that, we don't record that information in her file. I do know that her siblings are all sisters though and that they also benefit from your sponsorship! Sitra shares your letters with them and brings home the important lessons she learns at the project. I'd recommend asking her about her sisters in your next letter :).
