Hi, I am another sponsor and that is so wonderful that you know Spanish!   If I knew Spanish, I think I would try it!  I do want to add that from experience, the translators are excellent in the Latin American countries.  Do you have a Facebook account?  There is a private group of sponsors called Compassion Sponsors and Correspondents Facebook Forum.  I personally know a sponsor on there that is fluent in Spanish, too.  She shares lots of letter writing ideas (in English - lol) but I would bet she has done that!  You have to request to be added to the group on here or send an email to:  socialmedia@compassion.com

Erica, you are welcome to write in Spanish if you know it. We do have translators who translate all the letters from sponsors into Spanish or the dialect that the children speak, so you are not required to write in Spanish if you'd rather not :). It is fun to show your kiddos that you have something in common like that! My kids love it when I include some Spanish in my own letters :).
