I am a new sponsor. My little boy has three siblings. I was wondering if all the children in a family have (or need) sponsors. Also will I be able to get information about the siblings? (age, sex etc) I'm just curious if my little guy is the oldest, youngest or in the middle. :) I'm also concerned about how siblings will feel if one gets letters and gifts while the others do not.

Hi Donna! Welcome to the Compassion Family. To find out more information about your child's siblings, please call us at (800) 336-7676 or email us at ciinfo@us.ci.org. We can tell you their gender, but not much else unless they are enrolled in our program. If they are, we can check to see if they are available for sponsorship.

Please know that your child's siblings will benefit indirectly by things your child shareswith them and by participating in our partner church activities. You can bless your child's siblings by sending extra stickers and other paper items with your letters. You may also bless the entire family by sending a family gift. You may give $25-$1,000 a year and designate it as a family gift. The project director will consult with the family about what their greatest need is and help them to purchase the item(s). We don'tt take out processing fees from any gifts, so your child and family will receive 100% of what you send.

My sponsored child has two siblings that are not sponsored. Would it be ok for me to send additional stickers, cards, etc. specifically for those children, in the same package as the ones that I send for my sponsored child? I was thinking small ziplock'ish bags with each child's name on it, all in the same envelope.

I would suggest that you send some extra stickers and tell your child to share them with his/her siblings. I don't believe that you can send anything to unsponsored children. If you have any more question, feel free to ask!! Lizzie :)

Our sponsor child wrote us her first letter in which she listed her family members. She has a sister and we would be so psyched to be able to sponsor her as well. Does anyone know of a way of finding out if she is enrolled in the Compassion program so we can sign up to sponsor her as well?

In my information about my sponsored child it states that he has a sibling, is there a way of knowing if he/she is already being sponsored? and if he/she isn't,are we allowed to sponsor them as well?

Hello, my name is Carly and I am a proud sponsor of Alexandra Barzola. I have been thinking about it lately and I was wondering if any of her siblings are involved with compassion in need of sponsorship? I know that there are five children in her family, and very much want to either find a sponsor for any siblings in need of one or even do it myself, God willing. This is extremely important to me, so please let me know how I would find something like this out. I searched the site for children of her center, but nothing came up. So I wasn't sure what to do next, because she has not told me any of her siblings names. Please let me know what you or I can do.

Thanks so much, and blessings,
Carly Morton
