Hi, Gwenda
Please forgive the intrusion as I'm a sponsor, not an employee.  I want to say that I'm so sorry to hear you are struggling financially.  But please don't think your money has not been a real blessing to your sponsored child. I do know that a sponsor's money does indeed go to that sponsor's child.  My husband and I have had many proofs of this over the past years.  We know that our money helps each of our sponsored children have the food and basic necessities they need for survival.  But since retirement, it has been difficult for us to give extra.  Sponsorship involves sacrifice, and only you know what you can afford.  I'm saying a prayer right now that our Heavenly Father will open the windows of heaven to help you.  Be assured that you have helped your sponsored child.

Gwenda, I am deeply sorry for the concerns you have that have caused you to doubt the integrity of Compassion. I would like to address your concerns regarding your monthly sponsorship not going towards Nattawat Janoo’s needs. I’m not sure where you’ve heard this information, but, sadly, it is not accurate. We take financial integrity very seriously here at Compassion. As a Christian organization, everything we do needs to be worthy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we want as much as possible to get to the children we serve. Throughout the years, Compassion has consistently averaged more than 80 percent of total expenditures being used for program activities, with less than 20 percent being used for fundraising and administration. This is one of the highest percentages for an organization like ours.

Your monthly sponsorship helps provide your child with life-changing benefits that include: nutritious snacks or meals, educational opportunities, health and hygiene training, medical checkups, the caring embrace of a local church, and the message of God’s love through Jesus Christ. I encourage you to visit www.compassion.com/about/financial.htm for more information.

I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been facing financial hardships and can no longer afford to sponsor Nattawat. I am sending you an email not with some additional information regarding how to cancel your sponsorship. Have a blessed day.
