We have a young sponsored child, and his mother writes for him since he hasn't learned to yet. It has been so sweet to see her heart in her letters. We also have an older sponsored child, and I was thinking it would be really nice to hear from her mother.

What if mothers of sponsored children had the option to write letters, even after thier children are older and can write? I know some couldn't because they haven't learned to write. Would it be a good option for those who can? Just something to think about!

As you are aware, Compassion is in the middle of a major system change for our letters coming from us and from the kids.  Considering they are months behind with letters right now, I doubt they would consider doing something like this right now.  Also many of the kids travel to the projects by themselves.  I am sure a Compassion staff member will put this on a 'thinking about it' list, but right now most of us are just hoping to get the new system working the way it should :)

I have written extra letters to my children's moms and one actually wrote back!! She had compassion help with it so I'm not sure if she can even write :) I am sure if you sent an extra letter to your little girls mom she may have the option of replying. I don't know though

That's amazing Anna!  And yes, Debbie, I think you are right.  This just might be a good idea for later.  :)
