Sponsorship Account Question/Problem

Hello. Our family writes to and sponsors a little girl from Bolivia. Last January, we were concerned that something was wrong because we had not been receiving letters for months. We considered discontinuing the sponsorship, but felt uneasy doing that. So, Compassion offered to cover our monthly pledge for a few months and then, it was supposed to be billed for $19.  However, nothing has changed on our end and we do not see the deduction of $19 dollars this month. Can you please look into this? We do not understand what has happened. Thank you!

I am so sorry for the confusion! I see that we do have you set up for the $19 reduced rate of sponsorship beginning last month and going through September. However, somewhere along the lines, we did have to stop your automatic withdraws because both of your forms of payment on the account are no longer active. We would be happy to update this for you, however, because this is an open public site, we do ask that you do not give any details here. Please either go online to your, "My Account" or give us a call to get this updated for you! Thank you so much!

Okay, thank you for checking on this. I am not sure what happened because my pymt information did not change yet somehow, the information was erased from my account. I am thinking it could have been when Compassion made some updates/revisions/changes to their website several months ago. I have now updated my pymt options on the Compassion site.  What happens behind the scenes when something such as this occurs and monies are not collected for the sponsored child? Does the child lose out on his/her benefits for that time period?  Additionally, is it possible to start my commitment on the 1st of June for $19 to start back off on the right foot? If so, please let me know and I will take care of this. Thank you for checking into this for us!

Julie, we have made a commitment to each and every child in our program. That means that even when we do not receive the support from sponsors, we continue to send it consistently to the child. We understand that transaction issues happen from time to time. I apologize as I am not sure I understand your request. You are already at the $19 rate and current through the end of May. That said, we can setup the automatic withdrawal to pull on any day of the month between the 1st and the 28th, so, yes, we would be happy to set it up on the 1st for you or you can do it yourself on your online account. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

I just wanted to take a moment and touch base with you. We did cover your account for April and May so that you could begin fresh on June 1st, as requested. I see this is already set up on automatic withdraw for the $19 rate from June-September. Please note that because we only have a certain amount of months of support we are allowed to cover, this does max you out for the next two years. However, we are just so thankful that you will be able to continue supporting Anahi and that we could help at this time! Please let us know if there is absolutely anything else we can help with! :)
