I thought sponsorship ended at age 18. If it doesn't that is of course fine! I just want to make sure any further payments are going toward my child.  Also, when does sponsorship usually end?

Alison, the age in most countries is 22, with the exception of most central and South American countries. If you have a child in Asia, Africa, Philippines, the age is 22.

The maximum age they can stay in the program is 22. This allows for the fact that most kids start school late and also gives time for vocational training once they've completed high school. At around the age of 13 your child would have filled out a plan of what they hope to accomplish in order to complete the program. Usually they set the grad date for their 22nd birthday but they can always finish early. You can look at your child's profile on your account and their should be a projected completion date.

There are certainly other factors. I don't know if the centers perhaps even can decide an upper limit. I've got a girl in Africa who is due to finish up this year, but she'll only be 20, and I don't think she's done school yet. However, that date has been on her profile for years.

Hi everyone! You guys are correct. Completion age does vary and it is based on many factors. Typically, the completion age is 22 for most countries, but again, this does vary.

Allison, your kiddo, Christian lives in Indonesia and is set to graduate at 22 years of age in December of 2020.

Kevin, I see that David in Bolivia is set to graduate at 22 years of age as well in November of 2018.

These dates may change and there is no obligation for them to stay in the program unless the choose to. However, most of our students do choose to stay as long as possible! :)
