I am hoping for some help with my sponsorship. My wife and I have been trying to adjust our budget to prenatal care costs and are behind on the last two months. Would you be able to help me? I don't wish to reduce my monthly contribution and I am confident that we are on track going forward. However we aren't able to catch ourselves up right now. I am so thankful for Compassion and the opportunity to sponsor my child, I want to make sure he receives everything he needs. Thank you!

We appreciate your sacrifice and that you and your wife desire to continue supporting Pranjal despite your situation. We're so humbled by your selflessness and are happy to do what we can to help you maintain your relationship with him. Would it help you if we covered your next three months? Beginning in November, we would also be willing to reduce your monthly donations to $19 for the remaining three months you need assistance with. If come November, you're still unable to make even partial payments, you can just let us know and we're happy to help you out and see what else we can do for you to ease the burden further. Let me know if this would help and I'll update your account.

Is there a way we can do the $19 for three or more months? I still haven't found a job and just started graduate school last month. I hope to get a job on campus starting in August. If we can do $19 until then that would be great!
Thanks for all you all have done so we can keep sending Pranjal money. Thanks for all of the prayers. God Bless you and yours!

I really want to thank you for the last seven years that you have partnered with us and blessed the lives of these precious little children. God used you in beautiful and significant ways to impact their lives and they'll have your letters to look back on for years to come.
I'm praying that God would continue to show you himself and his goodness and faithfulness through this difficult time and I pray for financial provision and that things would begin to improve for you.

I have updated your account today so that your support for Okodi is current through the end of August. We will not take any donations out of your account for the next three months to help you get settled into your new job. Your next donation will happen on September 15th. If things haven't picked up as you expect by then, just let us know and we're happy to help you out and work with you. You're such a blessing and thank you for wanting to continue being the sponsor of your sweet boy!

I'm so sorry to hear you're going through a rough patch right now :(. I know that can be tough I pray God would bless your situation and turn it for good and for His glory :). He's a good father and loves caring for His children, including you!
We're more than happy to assist you with your sweet kiddos so that you can continue building relationships with them! I have updated your account today so that your support for them both is current through the end of August. Please know that they will continue receiving the same life changing support and you can keep writing letters to them! The next automatic withdrawal on your account is now set to pull in September but if things have not changed by then, please let me know and we can work with you and re evaluate your sponsorship's.
God bless you, Martin!

Hi there! I recently had a room mate bail on me so my rent went WAY WAY up and I won't be able to sponsor my child until October when I start my job again (I work for an elementary school and don't get paid through the summer). Is there any way we can pause payments until October? Or is there some sort of financial aid? I would hate hate hate to drop my child. Thanks!

I currently sponsor three Compassion children whom I love very much, but my financial situation was vastly different now than when I took them on, and am therefore looking at having to cancel at least two of my sponsorships, which I am loathe to do. I read somewhere that there was a temporary financial assistance program for folks who are in a situation similar to my own. Is that true? If so, what do I need to do to move forward?

Augustin Benjamin is our child that we sponsor. He is turning 19 in August. At what age do we no longer sponsor him We are retired seniors and are having difficulty making the $38 per month.

Our records indicate that he is expected to graduate our program in June of 2018. As you probably know, our program works to equip these children to be self sustaining, Christian leaders in their communities. This being said, in East India, we allow them to stay in our program until they're 22 years old and so he still has a couple of years left in our program.
We are so grateful for the time you have sponsored this young man but certainly don't want it to be a burden on you. One option we have is to cover your support for three months and we can also temporarily reduce your rate to $19 for up to six months. Let me know if this would help you and we would love to assist you in this way. However, I know that this would not help you during the rest of his time in our program after that period is over. We have also had sponsors partner up with a couple family and friends to finish out their sponsorship. If you know anyone that would like to help you see this boy finish strong, this might be an option to consider. However, if this is not possible for you, please know that you've blessed this young man so much and there is no obligation to continue sponsoring him if you're unable to at this time. If you need to discontinue between now and his graduation date, let us know and we can make him available for another sponsor at that time.

Hi, My name is Cynthia and I am starting graduate school in the fall. Is there any way I can adjust my payment for a while before I get on my feet? I am moving cross country and am struggling with the financial obligations of that at the moment.

We're happy to help you out if you think it's short term. I definitely understand how busy and financially stressful moving and starting school can be, especially moving accross the country like you are! Would it help you if we covered the next three months for you? I can update your account so that your support for Sandeep is current through the end of September and your next donation wouldn't be needed until October. Hopefully this would help relieve you while you get settled into your new home, community, and school :). Let me know if this would assist you and I'm happy to take care of it for you.

We are so humbled and grateful for the sacrifice you've made and I can tell that you love and care so deeply for Vilma and Vaishnav. Lucy, although we're unable to cover all of your support for both children until January, we can help you with some of it. Compassion would be willing to cover three more months of support for your kiddos to bring them current through the end of October. After that, we can reduce your rate to $19 per child for up to six months (November-April 2016).
Please let me know if this would help you and I'll update your account. If not, you might consider the option of just supporting one child at this time. I realize how difficult this decision might be but we also want the best for both your family and your child and when you get back on your feet, you're always welcome to sponsor a second child if you feel led and are financially stable again.

You've been such a faithful sponsor of Luis for the last year and we definitely want to help you continue that relationship! I have updated your account today so that your support for him is current through the end of July. My prayer is that starting fresh next month will help relieve some burden you may have felt and you're able to continue sponsoring him. Please let me know if your situation hasn't changed by the end of this month and we can re evaluate and see what else we can do.

I have stopped all future automatic donations and updated your account so that your support for Manuel is current through the end of September. Please don't worry about making donations until October and if things haven't changed by that time, let us know and we can work with you and re evaluate your sponsorship.
God bless you and please know that this community is here to stand behind you in prayer and support! :)

Hello,
Right now, I have a debt that needs to be paid off and I'm struggling with making payments for my contribution. I definitely do not want to cancel my commitments but I would be needing help for about 6 months to get everything settled.
Can you please cancel the automatic withdrawal for now since I will not be able to make the payment for this month. I do not want both of my kids to be left out but I really do need assistance for now.
Thanks,
Valerie

As requested, I have stopped all future donations for both of your children for the time being. I have also updated your account so that your support is current through the end of September. When we reach October, we can re evaluate your situation. If your situation has not yet improved and you can't make any donations, we can look into covering the remaining three months as well. However, come October, if you're able to send any support, we'd be happy to reduce your rate to just $19 per month per child for the three remaining months since you'd mentioned you need help for a total of six months. I pray that these next three months, God would give you rest and encouragement as you work your way towards being debt free! :) God bless and thanks for writing to Anne and Lixy; I know they love to hear from you!

Yes, I know all is definitely well with me in Jesus name. May God bless you all for all your service to him and for assisting sponsors like me in times like this. That way, no child suffers.

I am drowning financially right now and need a little help. I have posted before and I did not see a responds. I have seen that some people have gotten help getting caught up with their payments and then reduced payment to $19.00 per month for 6 months. Can I get this offer as well? I am in a difficult spot and want to continue my sponsorship, but just can seem to make the $38 payment right now. Please let me know. I feel that I need to do this but need a boost.
thanks so much, Linda

Hello,
Thank you Compassion International for helping to cover my monthly payments for the past 3 months. I was not able to cover the expenses I planned to because of car problems and other issues that came up this summer. Please, I would need you to help out again for the next 3 months. By God's grace, I would be caught up on all bills by then.
Thank you for your understanding.

As requested, we are happy to cover your support of Anne and Lixy for a few more months. I have updated your account so that it's current through the end of the year. We will not need another donation until January and I'm hoping and believing with you that your situation will have improved by then. If not, maybe you might want to consider only sponsoring one child; but I understand you want to maintain your relationship with both of them and so we can believe for this and re evaluate if necessary when the time comes.
Please let us know if we can help you with anything else and thank you so much for continuing to write to them and send them love and encouragement. They love hearing from you!

This summer I went on a two month mission trip to Mexico, and I got to meet one of my two children! That was an incredible experience! But now that I'm back in school, money has been a little tight since I just got a new part time job and wasn't able to work through the summer. Would it be possible to just have next month covered, or lowered? Since I sponsor two, it's $76/month.
Even one month covered would help me be able to get back on my feet financially.

We're more than happy to help you out this next month! I have updated your account so that your support is current through the end of October and we won't withdrawal from your account again until November. Let us know if your situation hasn't improved fully by then and we're happy to work with you :). Good luck this semester in school and thank you for your sacrifice for your kiddos and the love you show to them in each of your letters (and your visit)! I know it's definitely a day that Andres will never forget.

We're so happy to help you and are humbled by the sacrifice I know you're making. I have updated your account today so that your support for both children in current through the end of January. The next automatic withdrawal will not happen until February 5th. My hope is that this will give you time to get back on your feet.
However, if come February, your situation is not where you're able to continue yet, please let us know and we're happy to continue working with you so that you can maintain these relationships.
I'm praying for your car situation as well! Car maintenance can be expensive and stressful when it's our main form of transportation.

I am a college student and recently ran into some financial hardships. I really don't want to cancel sponsorship but I'm cutting it very close in my finances these days with added bills and paying student debts. Would it be possible for me to keep my sponsorship but get the next three months of support covered and then lower your support amount to $19 for six months? That would really help and give me time to get back on my feet.

Right now, your support is current through August. We don't want you to be stressed trying to catch your account up. I have updated your support so that it's current through February of 2016. This is our gift to you, don't worry about trying to donate any support until March of this coming year. In March, I have requested that your support be reduced to $19 for six months. Your support will not resume back to the normal $38 until September of 2016. My prayer is that this helps you get through the rest of this semester, as well as Spring and hopefully Summer if you're doing classes then as well.
Come September, please let us know if your situation hasn't changed and you're not able to resume at the $38 and we can re evaluate. Good luck with the last couple of weeks of your semester! I pray finals goes well and that you have a blessed Christmas with your family!

I can't afford support for our child. We have had trouble keeping our heads above water this year, and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Is there anything I can do?

Now, regarding your support, we would be able to help you through December and then temporarily reduce your rate to $19 beginning in January for up to six months. However, you did mention that your situation does not seem to be getting better right now and I don't want you to be stressed about making your monthly support starting in January if you're not quite back on your feet yet. Let me know if you think you'd be able to make donations at the $19 rate starting in January, and we can cover your back support through the end of this month. But if you think it would be better for your family right now if we made Manuel available for another sponsor, then we can certainly do this and you're always welcome to sponsor another child again with us when your circumstances improve. You've been such a blessing to Manuel and we'll be sure to find him another sponsor very soon. It sounds like this may be the better option but please let me know what you feel led to do at this point.
