I had an unexpected and unfortunately rather large ER bill come up this past week (I am fine, thank God) but I could really use a couple of months of relief from my sponsorship payments. Is there any way to skip the months of June and July or put the payment on hold for June and July? There's definitely no need to cancel my sponsorships outright as I am not in that position, but the extra funds would really assist me over the next couple of months.
Thanks so much,
Emily Smith

Secondly, we would be more than happy to help you! We are happy to cover the next three months for you and then for the following three months we can reduce your sponsorship fee to just $19 a month. This means that we would cover July, August and September, and then you would be on a $19 rate for October, November and December. Please let us know if you feel like this would be helpful! :)

My husband and I are full time college students...And we just found out that I am pregnant. With saving up for next semester, fixing his car, and now medical fees...I don't know how I can continue covering my sponsorship. Ive heard that sometimes compassion will lower the payments in certain situations. Is that true?

We are able to lower the support amount to $19. Regrettably, this would be a short term reduced rate because Compassion would cover the difference during that time period. The most that we could do would be nine months. Do you think this would help? Or we could also cover the support over the summer so you can save up through the end of August and then go to the $19 rate September through March.

Well, I feel like a heel, but we need to catch up on some bills and would like to know if I could suspend our sponsorship for a few months and then do the $19 plan for a few months.

Our income will soon be cut to less than half and we will no longer have health insurance; the last thing I want to do is cancel my sponsorship; but I may very well have to, and soon. Is there any way to transfer my sponsor child to someone else so I know she won't miss out? Or can I still donate to her when we have available funds again even if I am not sponsoring her? Are there any other suggestions or help you could offer? Thanks

I have a special place in my heart for these Compassion kids, and i have always wanted to do all i could to help them. But i now have three sponsored children, and i'm not sure if i can keep them all. I'm only 21, and while i had my finances in order before, my student loans are kicking in because i've taken time off of school. Is there any way that you can help me keep them? Or will i have to let one of them go?

You all generously covered my payments on all of my kids for June and July while I paid off an exceptionally high ER bill. I noticed today that I have an outstanding balance on just one of my sponsorships: Eva Santi in Ecuador (EC026101311). It is stating that I owe $76. The others went through and do not show an outstanding balance. Can you please correct this for me? Thanks.

I'm struggling a lot right now, and can't afford my payments. Would it still be possible to put a three month pause on my account so I can catch up? My number is 02329557.

I have come up on some unexpected bills, is there anyway I could lower my payment for the next 6 months? It would be a huge help!

Our family is expecting a new baby soon and my husband is also still in college for ministry. Is there any way we can receive assistance for our sponsorship? With a new baby and college- money is rather tight...we really don't want to cancel as our children have enjoyed learning about our sponsor child. Thank you!

Thank you so much for providing us your sponsor number so that we were able to locate your account.
We would be happy to cover the next three months of sponsorship for you and then reduce your sponsorship to $19 per month for the following three months if you feel this would be helpful. This means we could cover July-September and then you would be on a reduced rate from October-December. Please let us know if you feel this would be helpful to allow you to continue your sponsorship with Kidan. We look forward to hearing back from you! :)

I'm in a bit of a financial bind again, and I'm not sure what to do.
I've been a sponsor with you guys since 2012 and I'd like to keep going, I certainly don't want to let one rough patch terminate what I have between you guys and my child.
I know once before we worked out a payment plan that was a bit easier for me to meet for a few months, but I'm not sure if that was just a one time deal or not.
I've told you this before, but my family and I are working together to make the new family business work, but since it's new it still hasn't taken off to a comfortable level.
While we are now able to hold our heads a bit above water, we're still a bit strapped financially.
What can I work out with you guys?
I know you said you wouldn't take away my opportunity to be a sponsor, but it's been a huge stress to me that I have been struggling to meet every payment.
I look forward to your reply.
Regards,
Lauren

Lauren, I am deeply sorry to hear that you and your family have been facing so many hardships :’(. My heart goes out to you in this very difficult and stressful situation. Regrettably, we are only able to help for so many months before we cannot help anymore. However, because we are extremely grateful for sponsors like you who have sacrificed so much to invest in your precious child’s life, Compassion would be happy to help you catch up. Therefore, I have covered your support for the months of May and June, so you can start fresh in this month of July. Sadly, we have reached a place where we are unable to be of further help moving forward. I’m so sorry, and I sincerely hope and pray that your financial situation improves. I pray that God will bless your family business with favor and provision. We cannot thank you enough for your amazing heart for this ministry and for your sweet Ivan. God bless you!

I will not be able to sponsor my child for the next few months due to some unexpected major expenses. I definitely want to continue to sponsor my child once I get back on my feet again, but that won't be for about 3 months. What can I do about this?

Unfortunately my circumstances haven't improved enough to re-enroll in courses this fall and loans that were in grace period are entering repayment in August translating to additional financial burden. I very much appreciate the gift of no payments for the past several months but I still find myself unable to fully support both of my sponsored children. I still would hate to cancel their sponsorships, is there any way to have a reduced cost for sponsorship for the next few months? I hate asking for assistance but I want to continue their sponsorship in the hope that my situation will improve. I am adjusting my budget and looking into a second job to supplement my income. It is hard to foresee when things will turn around but I am hopeful by the end of the year to have everything where it needs to be. Here is my information, any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am so sorry to hear that you are going through a tough time financially! If you feel it would be helpful, we would be happy to cover the next three months of sponsorship to allow you to continue your relationship with Ghislaine. This means we would cover July through September and your next contribution would not be due until October. Please let us know if you think this would allow you to continue, otherwise I will be happy to fulfill your request to cancel.

Shannon,
I unfortunately wont be able to continue the contribution in October either. Please go ahead and cancel the sponsorship. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to sponsor another child. thank you!

Susan, thanks very much! I appreciate that greatly. All is well thank goodness but these things always seem to happen on the weekends when the ER is the only place available to go. *sigh*
Hmmm, I'm not sure why Eva went through today. I thought I had all of them scheduled to auto-pay on the 10th and I didn't show anything owed for May. Could you please look into that for me? If her donation for May has not been paid then we can just let it go through.
