Stop snail mail?

I just received a letter in the mail reminding me of my sponsored child's birthday, so I went online and arranged a gift. However, wouldn't it be much more cost effective to send a reminder email? In fact, I would love to get all my Compassion correspondence by email; I'm more likely to look at it. I'm sorry to say this, but when I get a letter from Compassion in the mail (except for child letters), I usually toss it without opening. The ministry could save money and reduce the amount of junk mail some of us get. I'm sure some folks would like to continue getting the snail mail, but I prefer email. It would be great if we had that option, but I couldn't find a place on the website to change my snail-mail options, just email.
BTW, I love the new ability to email the children and attach photos. I'm much more likely to communicate this way.

I think an option would be nice considering I like the CI mail.

Thanks for mentioning your idea! I agree, I would like to receive all of my mail by email, but its not fully possible at this time. Until it is, here are some pointers:

1. Call or email us to update your mailing subscription. We can update your account so you only receive items in the mail that you would like.

2. Update your email preferences by logging in to your account and clicking "Account Settings." This will determine what we send you by email.
