Just a suggestion for future options - I use my own stationery to write to my kids, and every time I get a letter back from them, I toss the form letter that's provided for me to write back. It would be great if we could opt out of receiving the form letters back, and it would save Compassion paper and money too!

I write to my child online. They have a choice of stationary to use and you can upload pic's to be sent to them. Perhaps it may speed up the delivery of your letters also. I hope so anyway.

I write online sometimes too (they have a great selection of templates!), but I'm referring to when I receive letters. Along with the child's letter I receive a blank form letter for me to write back. I never use those, so it would be nice to be able not to receive them :)

Karen, I think that is something that is in the works, as they upgrade equipment and software. Mine gets tossed also, as I make my own stationary.

Karen and Garry, you are correct that we are working on upgrading equipment and software right now. We are planning to offer supporters more options on the delivery of letters among other things. Stay tuned! :)

Thanks for the feedback, Laura! This is great insight to help us know what our sponsors want and we are looking forward to offering options like this in the future!

Hi all!

While this is not a direct implementation of your idea, I have an exciting update!

Beginning April 11, 2016, all original letters between sponsors and children will be digitally scanned, translated and emailed. Children will receive high quality prints of your letters. You will receive letters by email and, if you choose, a scanned printout by postal mail. As soon as your child's letters are scanned and translated at the office in their country, they will be immediately available for you in your MyAccount. As a result, unless you choose to receive the printout in the mail, you will no longer receive the official Compassion stationary.
