Hi! A couple weeks ago, I noticed on the website that there were lots of children in Bangladesh, I believe it was, who were waiting massive amounts of time for a sponsor. Some even over 800 days or so. I was astounded and concerned for them. But today when I looked for them again, it appears none of the children listed in Bangladesh have been waiting very long, and none are on the "longest waiting" list. Is there a reason for this? If all those children I previously saw got a sponsor, I'm thankful. But how could there be so many waiting for so long and then all get sponsored at once? Thanks for any explanation.

Hi Bethany. I am another sponsor, and don't know the answer, so I'll let the ladies respond. One possibility is that a lot of kids waiting for a long time, have been sent to events. I'm sure some have been sponsored, but it is likely that their packets are at events, and while at events, they won't show up on the website.

Ok thanks! That would make sense. If so, Lord willing they'll be sponsored soon! :)

Bethany, I also would add that Compassion Sunday is coming up so we are sending quite a few child packets to events right now. We also just had to close India last month and we have relatively few children available for sponsorship right now for that reason.
