I wrote my sponsored child a letter and two cards. The last time I checked them, it said they were in translation, but now the status bar is completely gone. I also sent in a written letter and haven't gotten an update on that, but it was less than a week ago, so I realize it might take a while to show up. I was wondering what the status was on my letters and cards that I wrote online, and when I should expect an update for my written letter? Totally new to this and just want to get more information on the process! Thanks!

Once that progress bar is gone from your account, you should see your letter under your writing history. I've included a photo from my account as an example. Snail mail letters can take a while to get scanned in, especially this time of year when people are sending Christmas cards/letters in to be sent. It will eventually show up on your account as well.

Hello Tara-Jo!

First off, welcome to the Compassion family! :) I am so excited that you have decided to sponsor Escarleth! The status bar that you were seeing, saying that your letters/cards were in translation, have gone away now because they have all been completely translated. You can always view them again in your conversation history. After you click on Write My Child on your My Account, click My Letters, and the conversation history between you and Escarleth will be there. KristenH is exactly right for the written letters. These letters take a bit longer for us to process. We receive these letters at our Colorado Springs office, we will scan the letter and then send it off the the field office of Honduras. Once we do all of this, that particular letter will appear in your conversation history with Escarleth. We do not notify you when we have processed a written letter. The only way you would be able to see this letter would be on that conversation history. If you have any further questions about this, please let us know and we will be happy to assist you! :)
