Two of my precious sponsor children are 3 and 4 years old. Do you have any tips on how to write to them? It seems that age would have trouble understanding what was going on. Should I write more toward the parents of those chidren? Thanks!

Hi Rebekah! I agree that the younger kiddos may not fully understand what is going on, but they still love to hear your encouraging words :). When I am writing to my little one, I often write a message to him and then a message to his parents. I can't imagine the challenges and stresses of trying to raise a child in extreme poverty, so I take the opportunity to encourage his parents as well. I think that it would be a great idea to write to both your children and their guardians. Another great idea for the little children is sending pictures and coloring pages since they are so visual at this age. You can even upload full pages of pictures with the online letter writing tool in your My Account! Thank you so much for choosing to bless these precious children with your love and support. God bless you!

Hello. I sent my littles a story of the good Samaritan, some stickers, paper, band aids, and challenges for them to do good things such as give stickers to someone who is not so nice to them :) here is what my girl sent back today

Hi Rebekah!

I think you can do a simple message using color pens, alphabet and animal stickers like the photos below. And also write a short letter for a child's parents. I think both children and parents will really you and your family's photos as well.
