In March 2013 I will be visiting my sister and her husband in Batam, Indonesia. I would love the opportunity to visit my sponsored child, Apriliana "Lia" Dewi Puspita Sari, Sponsored Number: 3168118-2
My sister is familiar with the location of Lia's village (Surabaya) as this is the home of her former housekeeper while living in Singapore. She said that we could definitely fly to this location in an attempt to visit her. My question is: How would I go about making arrangements for this visit with Compassion? Would we visit her home/village or the Nazareth Student Center? If a visit is possible, is it acceptable to bring gifts? If so, what sort of gifts are acceptable and desired? I anxiously await your response.
