I sponsor two kids in the same project and I just received their first letters. The children are in Ethiopia so the writing is in Amharic. Both of my kids answers were remarkably similar, however, the Amharic writing is not. I am disappointed to think that the translator is so rushed that he is just filling in the blanks with easy answers. I also received a letter from Uganda where the English translation was written in such a hurry that it is almost undecipherable. That child is 12 years old and he did not write his own letter. I imagine that these people are overwhelmed with the responses they have to record and I do take that into consideration. It is disappointing, however, when I have to wait so long to receive a letter and then it looks as though it was written in about 30 seconds. On the flip side, I have received wonderful letters from some of my other kids in Mexico, Bangladesh, and the Philippines.
