My first question from a week ago has disappeared, but the unauthorized sponsorship seems to have been removed...along with my previously sponsored child who aged out. Also, no one EVER contacted me that the issue would be fixed. I did not authorize a second child and am glad the sponsorship was removed, but I am bewildered by the communication difficulties with CI...

Julie, I am sorry for the confusion and that you never received a reply from us. I actually personally applied to your question about Newangan on this forum, and you are right that it was archived after. You should have received an email with my reply but it sounds like you didn't receive that. The following was my response:  "At the time Hugo left Compassion's program, we sent you a letter explaining that we had a child on reserve for your consideration. The letter explained that you were under no obligation to sponsor this new child but that we would need to hear from you if you decided not to continue sponsorship. Please understand that it is our heart to get children sponsored, but we in no way want to offend anyone in doing so. In fact, we adopted the above procedure at the request of many of our sponsors. I have stopped the automatic payments from your bank account and have made Newangan available to another sponsor and canceled your Christmas donations as well. No donation for Newangan had been made yet."
