I see that Compassion is starting to upload videos for unsposored children in Peru. Are there any plans in doing this for children in other countries?

I couldn't resist! I sponsored a little girl named Gladys after watching a video of her on the website. She was just too precious and she grabbed my heart!

This is actually just a test right now, to find out the cost of providing these videos and the sponsor's experience in receiving the videos. I believe the test will last 1 to 1 1/2 years and we will evaluate the cost and benefits of providing videos at that time. It is a much larger cost commitment for Compassion, so the test is limited to only a few hundred children in Peru at this time.

Would it be possible if sponsors could help with the costs by donating voluntarily? I have been watching some of these videos myself and some of these kids absolutely melt my heart. I myself would not mind paying extra (just a little!) because I believe that pictures simply cannot capture how wonderful these children really are. With videos like these people can learn so much more about the child and more of them can get sponsored.

We hope that the test will be able to prove that this is a valuable option for us to implement in all of our projects. We really would need it to be an all or nothing implementation which would take a tremendous amount of funding. Because we value financial responsiblity, we will want to do our due diligence before undertaking something on this large of a scale
