I would like to make some suggestions regarding Compassion Sunday communications:
1. It would be great if you could include a postcard or something with your first mailing to allow sponsors to indicate that their church will be involved in Compassion Sunday. There should be some way for multiple sponsors who attend one church to avoid receiving all the extra mailings. This will be the fourth time I facilitate our church's participation in Compassion Sunday, so we have quite a few sponsors in the church by now. I registered our church for this year right away, but all the rest of the sponsors in the church continue to receive mailings. This waste of resources has raised some suspicions about Compassion's financial integrity. I would love to see a way to avoid both the waste of resources and the suspicion. :)
2. It would also be great if you can update your system to make all of the Compassion Sunday communications more simple and consistent. I received a few mailings asking me to register after I had registered, but that could just be due to a time lag in processing. But my online account also continues to have a message on it suggesting that I consider registering my church for Compassion Sunday. Isn't there a way to link the sponsor's account with the fact that the sponsor has already registered? Also, I received an email last week saying that my Compassion Sunday child packets had been shipped and to expect them in the next couple of days. Today I received an email informing me that the Compassion Sunday child packets will be sent about 10 days before the event (almost two week from now). I will wait patiently for the packets until whenever they arrive, but it would be great if you could find a way to streamline and connect all these communications so they don't contradict each other and are accurate. :)
Thanks for considering these ideas!
