We would like to visit the Compassion International country office in Manila on December 6. We sponsor a child in the Philippines but understand she is about 3 hours from town and way too far. Is there a way to visit your office. When I called your number the lady wasn't really sure. Can you help.

Hi Carol! You would be most welcome to visit our office in Manila while you are in the Philippines. There is a possibility that you would also be able to arrange a visit with your child as we could bring the child to where you were instead of you needing to travel to where she lives. I recommend contacting our Tours and Visits department to discuss your travel plans and itinerary so that they can best help you arrange this. Please contact them via vistis@us.ci.org.

Hi Carol. I'm a sponsor and I have been able to travel a few hours by bus with a translator to visit my sponsor kids in Bolivia. You can check online travel agencies to find hotels in the town your sponsor child lives in. I use Orbitz mostly but Priceline has hotels not listed on the other agencies.

I usually reserve 2 hotel rooms for me and my host traveling the day before visit day and the day after. This way you get to see where your sponsor child and the family lives. It is worth all what it costs to arrange a trip like this.

William. Thanks so much for this. We are going to be on a cruise and stopping in Manila so only have the time to visit that day. We understand it is extremely hard to get out to her village because of the situation in the country. CI replied and may be able to bring in our child for the day....if not, at least we can visit the office. Thanks again.
