I am going to sign up as a CI volunteer at a concert. I’m trying to find out if table volunteer requires heavy lifting (like setting up/taking down tables). Same for handout volunteer. I have a weight restriction for lifting and carrying because of a bad back. If anyone knows or has done this before could you explain each position. I did send email to someone listed on the signup but haven’t gotten response yet. Thank you.

I've volunteered in both positions and there has never been a need for me to do any lifting. Table volunteers just help explain the sponsorship process, take forms and payment and Answer questions.
Handout volunteers pass out packets during the concert/event and then usually collect packets after the event (as people are leaving) sometimes they only do the pass out and aren't needed afterward to collect. Just depends on the preference of the person running the table.

The last time I was a table volunteer, some of us stayed behind and helped them take down the exhibit. But it was not required, we were just helping. And even then, most of the activities did not involve  heavy lifting.

Thank you both. I am very happy to get the chance to volunteer.
