Good afternoon! I am sorry you are not able to open her letter. I just sent you an email with the letter and picture attached. You will be receiving the digital copy of the letter and picture by mail, as well. I am going to repost the information that I sent to you in the email, as well, just it case it is helpful for other sponsors.
The issue you are having with being unable to open your child's letter on you web account is a known issue that some sponsors have been experiencing. We are working diligently to correct this problem. If you would receive another letter from your child on your web account, but you are unable to open it, please let us know, and we would be happy to send a copy by email.
I understand your frustration with the time it takes to
receive letters. We just recently updated our letter processing system, in
order to reduce the time it takes to process and deliver the letters from our
sponsors and children. Once the new system is completely implemented, letters
should only take weeks, instead of months, to be received each way. This will
definitely help with communication between you and your child and should help you to
build a better relationship with her. Your child will respond to the letters that you
send to her, so it is helpful to write often, as much as once a month, if you
are able. This will help to build more consistent and regular correspondence
between you and her. In the beginning, you might not be responding to a
letter she wrote, but I would encourage you to write her and let her know that
you are thinking about her and praying for her. You can include a favorite
bible verse or bible story in the letter, also. The letters don’t need to be
long; children just enjoy hearing from you. We appreciate your willingness and
desire to write your child often and encourage her in this way!
