Also, we do not know if she ever received the letter we wrote to her some time ago.  Please advise!

Hi Bill, you should receive an intro letter within four months of sponsoring. It sounds like it's been longer than that so Compassion will be able to look into this for you.

Letters take 2-3 months to travel from Compassion headquarters to your child’s hands currently. You've started sponsoring at a time when Compassion is completely overhauling their letter writing system to make lettes travel more efficiently! When fully implemented it should take about 6-8 weeks for letters to travel back and forth. Ironically, this change has caused a bit of a backup in the letter flow as many of us long time sponsors have noticed :) my guess would be that your intro letter from your child is somewhere in that backlog but like I said, since it's been over 4 months a Compassion rep should be able to help you!

You definitely came to the right place to get an answer. The ladies here work hard to keep sponsors happy and well informed of what's going on behind the scenes at Compassion.

Blessings to you on this sponsorship journey. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask!

Hi Bill! Thank you so very much for your desire to pour into Neowilty! I double checked and you can rest assured that we received the letter you wrote, in May, and it was sent to her! She's going to be overjoyed to begin building a relationship with you! However, you certainly should have received her introduction letter by now, as Kristen mentioned, telling you a bit about herself. I have sent an inquiry to our field office in Indonesia to check up on her, ensure she's attending the center as normal, and to request that she write an introduction letter to you. It can take up to 45 days to resolve these inquiries (sometimes they can be quicker) and so we'll be sure to contact you as soon as we hear back from her center staff. I'm sorry you haven't heard from her yet, but thank you so much for your kindness and patience!
