We would like to gift our girl and her family something from the gift book. Is there any way to find out from her pastor or center what she has for animals and what her family needs and could care for?

If you would like to give a gift from the gift catalog, that is great. However, those gifts won't go directly to your child. Those gifts will go to a community in need. If you would like to give a gift to your child and the family, you may give anywhere from $25-$1000. Once that gift is received, the project facilitator will sit down with the family to discuss the greatest need. They will go with them to help them know to know to use the money.

Thank you for the generous gift to her. She will receive that toward the end of June or the beginning of July. Once she receives the gift, depending on when it is used and when she will write you, it could take an additional 2 months or so for you to receive that.

We sent the money for the gift in March, we were told to send that early so it would get to her for her birthday on May 3rd.

Hi Eliza! I see that you sent Avril's birthday gift to her on February 26th. Thank you again so much for your generous gift. :) Since it takes two to three months for the gift to get to your child, and two to three months for their letter to reach you, we ask that you wait six months to receive the thank you letter. If you do not receive a letter by the end of August, please contact us again so we may contact our national office.

Hi, and thanks again. We are more than fine waiting for a letter, we understand little kids and how boring writing a letter can be. We are just super curious what was bought for her. Can someone email someone from her center or church who might know? I know many places dont have internet, but I imagine there must be someone in Chiapas with internet :-)
Thanks,
Eliza

Hi Eliza,

We know you are just so excited to find out what was purchased with your thoughtful gift, but sadly we cannot contact anyone about this. Really the only way we can find out how this was used is to wait for a letter. I do apologize, but there is no way for us to email the center, our program just isn't set up that way. Thank you so much for understanding! :)
