What About My Baby From India?

Ok, so I have a baby that I sponsored in India, and the assumption is that the program no longer works in India, but I'm still being charged each month for this precious baby > is the money getting to him?  If so, cool.  If not, why am I still being charged?  And no - I'm not quite ready to replace him with another child yet - I'm still grieving this whole situation.

I need some help with figuring out these answers, please.

Arvella, someone from Compassion will be able to help you after the weekend. Compassion is no longer working in India, but with so many sponsorships that have to be stopped, along with the new system implementation perhaps your account has not been adjusted yet.
Are you able to look at your account online and see if your child is still there and that support is being pulled for that child? Is it possible you were assigned a new child, and that's where the support is going? I know that India sponsors are being sent new children to consider and if you don't respond saying you don't want to sponsor the new child, they'll be added to your account. Maybe this is what happened?
All of the employees that monitor this forum are extremely helpful, so no matter what is going on they'll be able to figure this out for you after the weekend!

I am so sorry for the confusion! As Kristen mentioned, we are no longer working in India as of March 15th. However, your young man, Mekki actually lives in Indonesia, which is not closing! Yay! :) This is why you have seen no changes to your account! :)
