What animals would kids be afraid of in Africa?

I'm making some gifts for my sponsor kids and I'd like to create a bookmark with an animal on it. I realize that animals such as snakes or crocodiles probably wouldn't be a good choice but are there any other animals that would be a little scary for children? Specifically in Kenya and Indonesia? I just want to make sure that I wouldn't be causing a problem.
Thanks!

Lindsee, you are so creative! This is such a sweet idea and I bet they turn out great :).

One option that might be fun would be putting animals that you have in your area so that your child can better relate to you; maybe dogs, horses, birds etc. If you want to do rhinos, tigers, monkeys, and animals that are more aggressive in nature; I think this would be just fine and there are pictures you can find that are not frightening (showing their teeth, claws, etc.).  I just searched Google photos of animals in those areas and I think you would even be fine putting a crocodile on a bookmark! There are some silly ones with the croc smiling and lion cubs nuzzling up to their moms :).

My little 5-year-old girl from Thailand said she is very afraid of geckos!  I was so surprised at that!  The Geico gecko is so cute and friendly!  ;)

Different kids have different fears too for sure.  While not animal related, one of my girls mentioned she was scared of the dark, so I sent her some glow-in-the-dark star stickers...  I was about to send them to my other kids too when I received a letter from another girl telling me she was scared of the light of stars lol!
I like the idea of cute pictures of scary animals :)
