Hi!
My oldest sponsor child had to leave her program early, and I'd like to give her a parting gift. I don't have as much to give as I used to, so about $50 would be what I could do, maybe a little more, and I think you said $100 is the limit since she didn't graduate. The conversation here about what buys what in Haiti mostly lists livestock, and this young lady lives in a coastal city. I believe she lives in a row house in the city, based on one of her letters. Do you have some general ideas what $50 - $80 could do for her?
Thank you!
P.S.
Editing to add some more about her, she turns 22 in April and she said she wants to be a nurse. Her household is just her and her dad. The reason she left early was for lack of attendance, which I think was (unfortunately) caused by low self-confidence in her intelligence. I wish I knew how to boost her self-esteem. I had similar struggles at her age, which was just six years ago for me.
