What does special needs, other mean?

When you are looking for special needs children, what does the description "Other" mean?

Hi Theresa, 
When a child has special needs it is completely up to that child and their family to provide Compassion with that information. Because of the way policies are, we are no longer able to collect specific information on this type of health issue. This means that if they volunteer information, we are happy to include that in the child's profile, but we are not allowed to specifically ask for it. In the case where they have mentioned the child has a special need, but would either prefer that details not be shared, or they did not share anything other than this, we will list this as an "other". You are welcome to ask your child about their needs in your child letters, but we would ask that you be extra gentle in your wording, (as I know you would be). :)
