Today I logged on to my child's info (Erandy Jaqueline Leon Alonso) and It seems that her father might have left! I received no letter, I have no idea how long it has been this way. Did her father die, did he just leave? Erandy Hasn't told me anything, in fact I haven't had a letter in almost a year.

Addyson, I am another sponsor and saw your post.  Since the father was removed from the page there might be a reason posted on your account that a sponsor doesn't see. Someone from Compassion will see your post and answer soon.  I have been sponsoring for almost 15 years and have sponsored at least one child where a parent passed away some time after I sponsored them. Hopefully the father is still alive.

If you have a Facebook account I suggest joining the Compassion Sponsors and Correspondents Facebook Forum.  All of us learn a lot from each other's experiences.  You can request to join the group when Compassion contacts you if you are interested.  Also, if you have not received a letter in six months you can do an inquiry so I am sure they will do one for you!

If you have the Compassion app, you can check under Daily Life, Parents and see if there is any information such as parent deceased or parents are not together.

Addyson, according to our records your child's father is still alive and still lives with them. I sincerely apologize for the confusion as the website is omitting information right now due to system upgrade issues.

Addyson, I just logged into my account, and only the mothers' names are listed for any of my children. I suspect, based on what Susan said, that the missing fathers' names have to do with the system changes. But, on a positive note, I see that there is additional information, like each child's favorite subject.  :-)  And, I don't remember being given the mothers' actual names on the web site before.
