It's getting towards the end of April and I won't be paid for another two weeks, so I'm afraid I'm going to miss a payment for my child. How will this affect her? Is there any way money can be sent to her for this month and I can pay double next month?

obviously an employee needs to answer the account problem, but  just to reassure you, nothing will change as far as your girl is concerned.  Once a child is in the program, they stay there, with or without a sponsor.  Of course, the benefits of having a relationship with a sponsor, and hopefully letters from you are priceless as far as they are concerned.

Hi, Jessica. I,too, am just another sponsor but I recently ran into an instance where, due to a series of unfortunate events and misentering numbers, I missed a payment for one of my kids. While I'm certainly not advocating for missing payments, I can tell you that nothing happened at all other than that there was a little red font message next to the boy in question saying that his March payment was overdue. I just paid $76 to knock out March and April and went about my business. That being said, I paid as soon as I saw the message because it was more of an oversite than an actual monetary issue. If the account was left unpaid for longer, I'm sure it would've been a bigger issue to deal with. I can almost guarantee that in this situation you'll be fine, though, especially after letting Compassion know about it.

Hi Jessica! As Debbie mentioned, we have made a committment to every child that is in our program. This means that if you are unable to make the donation this month, we will still send the support for your child. She's not going to miss out. She won't even know that this went on on our end. That said, we really appreciate you letting us know so that we can make arrangements. If you need, we would be happy to adjust this month's support for you and you could just start afresh next month. Let us know. :)

Thank you everyone for your responses! I am so relieved to know that she won't be deprived a month's worth of service. Susan, what do you mean when you say you could adjust this month's support?

Jessica, when we say we can adjust your support so that you can start fresh next month, we mean to say that we will actually cover your support for you. Your support right now for Sita is current through the end of March. We are willing to bring your account current through the end of April and we will not need another donation for you until May :). Let me know if this would help!
