I need to update my credit card details and none of my previous details are there. Where do I find my current details and what is a bank routing number?

Good morning, Mary. A bank routing number is a nine digit number that is used to identify your bank in a transaction. This number will appear at the bottom of your checks along with your account number. However, you would only use this information in your Compassion account if you want your monthly support to draft directly from your bank account. If you want to edit your credit card information and use that card as your form of payment then there is an option near the top, just under your sponsored child's name, to switch to credit card. The default selection is bank account so just click the small circle next to the credit card option and all of your current information should already be filled in on that screen.

Mary, I just realized it's not morning in South Africa. I guess I should say good evening instead :).

Mary, it might be called a routing code or number. I am not exactly sure if all banks universally have them but you might try asking your bank if they have a routing number. Please also keep in mind that we only accept donations in USD at this time. If you need wiring instructions, please email socialmedia@compassion.com. I hope this helps!
