What is going on with the "system upgrades" that make contribution reporting unavailable?? It's been a year now?

What is going on with the "system upgrades" that make contribution reporting unavailable?? It's been way too long, maybe a year now? It makes me wary of trusting this organization.

Hello Jennifer. I understand your frustration with not being able to see your giving on your contribution statement. We did our system upgrade in January, so it has been a bit of a lengthy process. Regrettably, I can not guarantee, at this time, when this will be available again. We do offer the ability to view your giving history through your My Account. Once you are logged in, on the left side you can click on, "Tax Receipts/Giving History." Here you will be able to view all of your giving for the year. We certainly appreciate your understanding and your patience as we continue to improve our system.

OK, thank you for your reply.  But this is quite concerning.  I give to Compassion, as opposed to other organizations, because of Compassion's mission and transparency. I trust that the money I give is being used with integrity.  When I cannot see that donations were even received, or that the money I sent for a birthday or Christmas is processed appropriately, that is very disconcerting.  If you are able to record the transactions in My Account, then you can print them on my statement.  I have declined to give for extra needs this year simply because I am losing trust in Compassion.  No one has EVER told me before today that I could access my receipts online.  This is a problem.  And it needs a resolution now, because if we lose trust in you, the children are the ones who will suffer.

I completely understand how you are feeling and we do appreciate hearing your feedback. I am beyond excited for the day that all of our new upgrades come together, as I know that we will be able to serve our supporters with the level of service that you all deserve. I truly apologize for how long this has taken. Please know that we have delayed sending out monthly contribution statements because we felt this would be best for our supporters during this transition time. I am so sorry that you were not aware until now that you could access this information online. Please let me know if you have any questions as you go online to see your contributions or feel that any of your contributions are not reflected. We pray that this will be helpful and allow you to feel confident again in Compassion and continue supporting your sweet child!
