I have sometimes been replying on the stationery that comes with letters.  The bottom third has numbers, my address, and a way to send a monetary gift.  Does it serve any other purpose?  If I tear off that portion and use that space for writing more in a letter, does that cause any issues in the system?

Hi Debi! No, the bottom third or the stub at the bottom of the letter stationary is simply if you wanted to send a gift. You are more than welcome to remove that before sending in your letter. Thanks for checking! :)
