What kind of paper crafts can be sent with the new letter guidelines?

I am unsure what kind of paper crafts I can send. As I understand I can send up to five additional  sheets of paper if one sheet is used for the letter to the child.
I already crafted something before I new that there is a new guideline: It is a map of my country on an A4 paper and there are several small envelops on it. In each envelop there is another small sheet with more detailed information about a special region of my country.
The page could be scanned however it is pointless because the information in the small envelop is not available to the child. So is there no point anymore to send my work to my sponsored children?

Thank you in advanced for answering my question.

Hi Iskierka! Your craft sounds so fun and educational! Although this activity will not be sent via mail in it's original form because it's scannable, I would still encourage you that it won't be pointless and you should still send it :). I know you worked hard on it and your child will learn so much! A work around so that it will go through, might be to send your map without the envelopes on it. Size A4 is perfect and will go through just fine. Then, still send the small sheets of details information about the regions of your country that you wrote up. If there are too many of the small sheets (over 5), then I would suggest gluing them all onto one bigger sheet or a couple bigger 8 1/2" x 11" sheets to make sure you're not going over the max you can send. Everything will be scanned and then printed on high quality paper for your child. So any colors that you put in it or were already on the map to make it pop or look more beautiful, will still come over vibrantly on the prints we make for your child :).

Going forward, the only items we're physically mailing are: stickers, bookmarks, and musical greeting cards. You can read the new guidelines here.

Hi Emily,
Thank you so much for your reply. I will try to modify my papercrafts in a way you described so that they can be scanned.

If I send a paper that has writing on both sides like a math sheet, will that count as two sheets or will they print the front and back on one sheet? Even though your guidelines are clear there are somethings not included.

Barbara, a piece of paper with content on two sides would count as two sheets. However, we would print it double-sided. This means that all together you can send up to five double-sided sheets of paper plus one double-sided letter for a total of six double-sided sheets of paper. I hope that makes more sense. Let me know if you have any other questions! :)
